What are Jobs?

Jobs group related work on a property — kitchen remodel, HVAC replacement, roof, unit turnover — so you can see every expense that belongs together.

Why landlords use Jobs

At tax time, your CPA often needs to decide what is a repair (expense now) versus what should be capitalized / depreciated. Doortrackr does not make that legal decision for you. Jobs make the review easier by keeping related receipts in one place.

How Jobs connect to receipts

When you add a receipt, you can optionally link it to a Job (and property). Filter lists by job later, and use the Jobs Summary on Reports / CSV export.

When to create a Job

Create a Job for replacements, installations, improvements, or any project where multiple receipts should stay grouped. Skip Jobs for one-off small expenses if you prefer.
