Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2025. Last updated: October 26, 2026.

Doortrackr (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services (“Services”), including when you sign in with Google or Apple.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Doortrackr, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: First and last name, email address.
  • User-Provided Content: Property details, maintenance jobs, expenses, and any other information you enter into the app.
  • Usage Information: We collect technical information (such as device type, browser, operating system, IP address, and log data) and usage analytics (such as which features you use, how you navigate the app, and performance metrics) to maintain service functionality, improve user experience, and analyze app usage patterns. This data is collected through PostHog, our analytics service provider, and is used solely for product improvement purposes.

2. Google and Apple sign-in

You can create an account and sign in with Google or Apple. Here is the account information those services give us, and what we do with it.

Google. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google gives Doortrackr your name, email address, and profile picture. We use your name and email address to create your Doortrackr account and to sign you in. We store the profile picture Google provides with your account. We do not sell this information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.

Doortrackr's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Apple. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple gives Doortrackr your name and email address. If you hide your email, Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your personal email, and we use that address as your Doortrackr account email. We use this information to create your account and to sign you in. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

We share Google and Apple account information only with service providers that process it for us so Doortrackr can operate. Supabase stores your account. PostHog may receive your user ID and email address for product analytics, as described in this policy. We do not share this information with advertisers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create your account and sign you in, including through Google or Apple.
  • Provide, maintain, and improve Doortrackr.
  • Allow you to track and manage property expenses and records.
  • Respond to support inquiries.
  • Analyze usage trends to improve our Services.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share your information in the following ways:

  • Account storage: Your account, including information received from Google or Apple, is stored by Supabase so we can sign you in and operate Doortrackr.
  • Third-Party Services: Receipt images you upload are securely sent to OpenAI for text recognition and analysis.
  • Analytics Service: We use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to understand how our Services are used and improve functionality. PostHog receives anonymized usage data including user interactions, page views, and performance metrics. When you are logged in, PostHog may also receive your user ID and email address to help us analyze user behavior patterns. This data helps us identify bugs, understand feature usage, and make improvements to Doortrackr. PostHog does not use this data for advertising purposes. For more information, see our Cookie & Tracking Policy.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Doortrackr, our users, or others.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data, including information received from Google or Apple, until you delete it or until you delete your account. You can delete your account in the Doortrackr app, or by emailing support@doortrackr.com. Once deleted, we take reasonable steps to remove your information from our systems.

6. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud-hosted database provider, using industry-standard protections.
